According to the latest report from Bloomberg, global renowned music companies including Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment are in talks with two artificial intelligence startups, Udio and Suno, regarding copyright licensing. The aim of this negotiation is to establish a framework to ensure that AI companies can reasonably compensate artists for the use of their works. These two companies, Udio and Suno, focus on helping emerging music artists create songs; by simply providing prompts describing sounds or song themes, they can generate audio recordings.
